Music Monday - Eternal Flame (Bangles)

I love Mondays! Why? Because it’s time for Music Monday! My very own meme that’s done on Mondays to put out those Monday blues, you know it being the first day of the working week and all. Join us and your Monday need not be bluey no more ;)

This week I’m featuring Bangles, members of the all-girl band are:
# Susanna Hoffs - vocals/guitars
# Vicki Peterson - vocals/guitars/bass guitar
# Debbi Peterson - vocals/drums/bass guitar

I thought this band was long gone until I searched out this song for MM and found their website. Guess what?! This band is till rocking peeps. Their latest gig now is happening on New Year’s Eve over in Hawaii! That’s girl power for you!

    I’ve always loved the Bangles… Walk Like An Egyptian, Manic (Music) Monday, but Eternal Flame has to be my favorite. I didn’t realize they still existed beyond my iPod Classic…. good to hear those gurlz are still rockin’ out.

    Speaking of girl bands, Santa brought a big red drum set for London and Maddie’s girl band in our basement, the Butter Bites. So Grammy (Rex’s mom) was over for our Christmas Saturday celebration and the girls were playing some of their original songs for her. She said, “why don’t you play something I know, I can’t understand your words or music.” I sent Maddie back down to the basement to tell Grammy that they said the same thing about Elvis… and didn’t like the way he moved his pelvis, either! Happy New Year… and here’s to rockin’ girl bands!
