Another talented star left us on Monday after fighting with pancreatic cancer for 20 months. Patrick Swayze, 57, passed away peacefully with his family at his side at his ranch in the foothills of the San Gabriel mountains near Los Angeles. .
He is survived by his wife of 34years, Lisa Niemi.

Patrick Swayze who is battling pancreatic cancer has checked himself into a hospital for observation for Pneumonia . It was revealed Friday at a press event for the Television Critics Association in Los Angeles where he had been expected to discuss his new show, The Beast, scheduled to begin airing Jan. 15.
The actor who was born in 18 August 1952 in Houston was diagnosed with the cancer January last year and was initially given five weeks to live by doctors. However Swayze’s physician, George Fisher, said in a statement.
“Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.”
However in November 2008, he was reported as “saying his goodbye’ when he discovered his cancer has spread to his liver. The Dirty Dancing and Ghost star, has started preparing himself for death, reports says. However, close source revealed that he is still undergoing treatment and still fighting.
